Problem: User upgrading from Windows Vista to Windows 7 may face a problem in which the transparency of the PC is turned off. The reason behind this might be that the Aero theme is not properly enabled after the upgradation to Windows 7
Resolution: Perform the following steps to resolve the issue:
STEP 1. Click Start, enter Aero, and select Find and fix problems with transparency and other visual effects link.
STEP 2. Click Next to launch the Aero troubleshooting wizard. Follow the onscreen steps and it’ll resolve the problem.
STEP 3. If it doesn’t resolve this problem, then install the latest driver for your graphics adapter.
STEP 4. Some of the Aero features may be disabled in the registry. Perform the following steps to enable them and resolve the problem with Aero Peek:
a) Run the regedit command to start the Registry Editor.
b) Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\DWM registry key.
c) Set the value for EnableAeroPeek to 1.
